Kestrel® 4000 Pocket Wind Meter

Awesome little tool. Use it for logging data for tracking wildlife activity along with weather patterns. I recomended it for biologist and wildlife photographers.

Have been using the Kestrel 1000 for a couple of years for wind speed only, has worked perfectly, getting ready to upgrade to the 4000NV with vane mount for a more complete long range shooting solution.

Great for long range precision shooting and give you the necessary info. Durable and fairly compact.

Have had the Kestrel 4000 for several years and provided accurate
Readings in all modes of measurement. Although, recently it just stopped
working, so I presume they only function for a given period. This one worked
well for four to five years.

Without the Kestrel 4000 Pocket Wind Meter long range shooting pin-point accuracy at 1000-1500yds would be inconceivable. This instrument gives one the necessary crosswind, humidy, ect. information that one needs to feed into their ballistic program to be completely successful. It is the best made one there is!
