I use the Kestrel 3000 in my work as a wildlife biologist. I am required to take weather readings at every point that I collect data. I write down temperature, humidity, and wind speed, and the 3000 model works well for these chores. The only con is that when taking the average wind speed you must hold it for a period of time to get an accurate average. Works well overall.
