NK is a small Pennsylvania company that designs,
manufactures, markets and distributes waterproof electronics for
active lifestyles and technical applications. Since 1978, NK has
been the primary manufacturer for performance monitoring devices
for rowing, canoeing and kayaking. In 1996, NK expanded its product
line to include hand-held wind and weather monitoring devices.

Skilled Machinist
Nielsen-Kellerman is seeking a skilled machinist to support production operations. Work includes: performing secondary operations on purchased molded and machined parts; maintaining required stock levels of machined parts and raw materials; working collaboratively with engineering staff to design production tools and fixtures; using prints, design sketches and written specifications to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product; using all machinists’ hand and power tools and measuring instruments; programming and using CNC machines. The successful candidate will be able to perform the most complex machining and fitting operations to close tolerances without technical supervision and will be familiar with the working properties of all commonly used engineering materials. The machinist will also have overall responsibility for the cleanliness and organization of the machine shop and materials as well as the safety and lockout program including training and qualifying of helpers and staff. Requirements
Technical Degree and 5 or more years of experience, or equivalent
Salary
$20.00 to $25.00 per hour commensurate with skill and experience.
