ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN - DESIGN
Nielsen-Kellerman is seeking applicants for the position of Electronics Technician to join our Design Engineering team.
This position requires an experienced, knowledgeable, self-directed, team-oriented, communicative and energetic individual with solid electronics technician skills. You will be completing specific assignments contributing to the start-to-finish design of high-quality consumer electronics products. This position will report to the Design Engineering Manager. Experience in a consumer electronics manufacturing environment will be considered a major advantage.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Schematic layout and entry
- Circuit board layout with direction (PADS)
- Prototype construction to schematics, testing and troubleshooting
- Test fixture construction
- Troubleshooting and testing analog and digital circuitry, including microprocessors
- Component research, data sheet comparison, testing, analysis and recommendation
- Creation and verification of Engineering Bills of Materials
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, Military training or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years proven electronics technician experience
- Ability to reading component data sheets
- Knowledge of correct use of standard laboratory test equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and interest
- Facility with internet research
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Solid written and oral communication skills
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with design and assembly of electronics products
- Experience with surface mount technology
- Knowledge of PADS software
- Ability to work with machine tools including CNC machines
- Knowledge of C programming

This position is full-time with a starting salary between $21.00 and $25.00 per hour dependant on experience and qualifications.
